can cats take cipro

This answer was rated:

can cats take cipro?
I assume you mean Ciprofloxacin- yes cats can get cipro. This is usually used for suspected gram negative infections- UTI's would be one instance where they would commonly be used. It is not a great drug against gram positive staph infections or skin infections. In kidney failure cats, this is probably not a great drug as it can cause worsening of disease if the dose is not altered.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
