Customer Question

Hi Iam Margie, 76 years old. This past 6 months I've had treatments for gastro-problems, scans and colonostophy, 4 antibiotic prescriptions and exploratory surgery. Resulting in a diagnosis of inflamed intestines, cause unknown. Added Magnesium, and Probiotic, and stool softeners to daily meds as part of the cure. I still have discomfort in bladder area, a pressure that hurts, during intercourse and when I need to urinate. Its not like any bladder infection, no itching or burning.
JA: Is the condition chronic, or acute?
Customer: acute
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No, I think I have good health for my age and an active life style.

Hello, this is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

have you consulted with a GI doctor about your "inflamed" intestines?

this can be from gluten sensitivity or lactose allergy

you could have crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis causing inflamed intestine.

you could have inflammation of your bladder or interstitial cystitis

you may need to see a urologist to get a cystoscopy and biopsy of your bladder.
