Hello this is Dr. Salama MD,

I would recommend getting a urine analysis done as soon as possible to rule an infection.

If it is positive then you will need to be treated antibiotics as soon as possible.

Till then drink as much water as you can and refrain from drinking anything else.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

If not, please don't forget to leave a positive rating (bonus appreciated) as that's the only way I get credit for answering your question.

Thank you!

I was very dissatisfied with the diagnosis b/c it turned out to be a 2mm kidney stone trying to pass through my bladder & there were no suggestions to indicate even the possibility of a stone.

The urine analysis would have shown blood which provides a clue that you are having a kidney stone.

I also advised you to drink as much water as you can which is the best way to pass a kidney stone.
