I notice a drop of blood from my penis. When I went pee I did have an erection. Would this cause blood to come from my penis or is it an infection?

The erection would not cause blood to appear while urinating.

The drop of blood suggests some underlying condition which would need to be investigated.

The common causes are lower urinary tract infection, prostatitis and benign prostatic hypertrophy but other less common but serious conditions like pyelopnephritis, kidney stones and bladder cancer are also possible.

Therefore it would be best to have a doctor take a look and get relevant investigations.
