I was cycling last week after a break from the bike. ry fit

Customer Question

I was cycling last week after a long break from the bike.
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: ry fit 47yr male. I had soreness under my penis for three days afterwards and a fell of not wanting to lift anything. After a week I return to training with a gentle 20min cycle and then in the afternoon I was doing some light squats and I felt a popping sensation under my penis similar to what a normal muscle would feel like when you strain it.
JA: Is the condition chronic, or acute?
Customer: Acute
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: A bulging L4/L5

Do you have any other symptoms like pain and burning when passing urine?

Have you been seen for this?

Any tests done?

Please let me know.

Regards

No pain passing urine. No treatment or tests as yet

I think that the most likely possibility is that you could have injured that area a bit when cycling.

In this case it can take up to a couple of weeks to heal up completely.

However, I would strongly recommend that you should have a urine test done just to be sure it is normal.

I would also like that you should be examined if your symptoms persist just to be safe.

Do you have any idea what the popping sensation followed by pain while I was squatting and then worse when I did a pulling down movement.
Expert:  Dr. SH replied 3 months ago.

Sounds most likely like a pulled ligament.

There are tiny ligaments in and around the penis that could have been pulled.
