Customer Question

I recently spent much time in a very warm swimming pool. I started having urgency to urinate and thought it was the warm pool but now am concerned it could be a bladder infection. I feel pressure in my pelvic region like discomfort but not pain. I have no burning but at times feel a lot of gas and then almost diarrhea. My doctor is running a urine sample. If I have an infection he is concerned since I had a bout with cdiff 3 years ago of what to prescribe. Does this sound like an infection? Is there anything I can do naturally to help?

Thanks for this question

I'm Dr. Phil and I'm happy to help

Yes, this sounds like a bladder infection

In that case, I would use cipro but also take flagyl at the same time to stop c diff from coming back

Can't take flagyl as I'm allergic and cipro is considered a high risk for cdiff. Is there another alternative?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 3 months ago.

Yes, you could take augmentin and oral vanco
