about 4 months ago I came from a trip and had to lift a bag to my third floor apartment the next day I had a large painful and burning lump on left side of scrotum. Lump went away in a week. After that I been getting a mild discomfort in the left side of my groin area and a few days ago the discomfort went away but if I touch my left testicle I can feel a mild pain but it goes away in seconds. What could this be?

Greetings,Is there any other symptom? Swelling? How is urine? Was any test done? Did you consult doctor?Regards.
no other symptoms, the area where the leg and scrotum connect feels a little swollen and sometimes it burns a little but nothing I can see. No tests done yet, just had a surgeon tell me that he didn't feel a hernia there but it could be a small one
Thank you for the input. The history suggests a hernia. Hernia can be precipitated by heavy lifting. In early stage, it can go inside by its own. When you are having some symptoms for 4 months, you should have a repeat evaluation by the surgeon. Ultrasonography can be taken. The other possibility can be due to inflammation from muscle strain. By 4 months it should be less. Nerve impingement can be possible too.If you have any query, please feel free to ask. Please rate my answer as EXCELLENT / GOOD SERVICE when you are satisfied.
