Thanks for your question. If I don't respond to you immediately, it is because I am either in the OR or traveling. I WILL get back to you ASAP.
Do you have problems getting an erection?
How long have you noticed the curvature now?
Also how involved is this surgery and how expensive?

If you have insurance, they will cover this procedure most likely. I don't know the exact costs of the procedure if you were to pay out of pocket, but it would likely be around $10000 or so.
You can have surgery to straighten the penis with a procedure called plication where sutures are placed on the side opposite the curve. This results in slight shortening of the penis. The risk of ED is 1% and you may have some temporary numbness of the penis for up to 6 months. This procedure is only good if your curve is less than 60 degrees.
If the curve is over 60 degrees, then you will need the scar tissue cut out and a graft placed in the area where the scar was removed. This results in ED 30 % of the time that is permanent and this is why we only do this procedure if your penis is so curved that you cannot even have sex. You should see a urologist to discuss your options. Hope this helps.
