Should a man self-catheterize during the night?
Optional Information: Person's Gender: Male Person's Age: 90 Already Tried: asked a home care worker
Thanks for your question. If I don't respond to you immediately, it is because I am either in the OR or traveling. I WILL get back to you ASAP.It depends. Do you leak urine at night or get the urge to urinate if you don't catheterize?
Very little leakage at night, but feel some painful pressure even after catheterizing just before retiring.,
As long as you don't leak urine and are not in discomfort from a full bladder, it is not necessary to get up at night to catheterize. But if you do have those problems, then you may want to get up at night once to catheterize. Hope this helps.
