56 year old male in good health. Take nyucenta for chronic pain from hernia repairs (three- two in groin area). Two months ago my penis started to curve dramatically (about 70 degrees!) to the left. I am also experiencing some ED. Physican recommended Viagra for ED (which I have not taken) . Out of embarrassment I have not told him about the "curve" that started happening. What is happening?

Hi Ray,Thanks for the answers. This curvature in the penis seems to be due to a condition called as Peyronie's disease where the penile tissue is replaced with hard tissue (usually one side of the penis). This hard tissue makes the penis less elastic on that side and this side doesn't elongate when you get erections and so the curve appears. You have multiple risk factors to develop this condition. These are history of diabetes, history of previous urologic procedure, trauma to the region. So it is better to show it your doctor who ca either treat it accordingly or refer you to an urologist. This condition can get worse where there is severe curvature of the penis with sever pain.Usually vitamin E is the drug used in such conditions. But newer medications like POTABA,Verapamil, penile injections,ESWL and lastly surgery are more used now a days to treat it.The main purpose is to stabilize the disease at this stage and if possible attain some recovery.I hope this helps you understand your problem better.RegardsDr.Tharun
