Customer Question

I had surgery for Spinal Stenosis 4 Discs fused got a reallybad kidney infection but have been in pain for the twoyearssince. MyDrput meonDilaudid 2-4 mg twice a day.Lately after taking morning pills they work up to around 4 pm ands now I can hardly walk with so much pain I have calcification of Aorta..Vascular Kidney Disease..Cartoid Artery Disease and a blocked artery in brain. what should I do? My Dr said nothing can be done
For me but hasn't even sent me to a kidney speciaist.. The pain is awful HELP. Donna

all I've tried so far is the dilaudid for pain Am going to ask to go to Urologist And am going to go to health food Store for a Kidney remedy. I also have been hospitalized 3 months for non Alcoholic Auto Immune Liver Disease and Fatty Liver Disease going to a hematologist for this Five Yrs. Ago my Kidneys were in the 11 inch spot now they are 8 inches range. What should I be doing? Please help Is it normal to be in so much pain??? Help me please. Should I ask yo go for 2nd opinion???

Hello there,
Please be patient, as I may be in the operating room, with a patient, or driving but will get back to you ASAP.

I think the first thing you need done is to have an X-ray of your kidney such as a ct scan. This can make sure there is not some sort of new blockage causing this. You should otherwise not be in so much pain. This is rare. It makes me think there may have been some damage to the kidney possibly during the surgery although those surgeries do not cause this. Do an X-ray next. If this is normal, you may need some injections in the area of the back And kidney to improve pain. Hope this helps.
