Protein in the urine is abnormal. It is an indication of kidney dysfunction due to some sort of medical problems such as high blood pressure or diabetes. It can also be due to autoimmune diseases that attack kidney. You need to see a nephrologist to do a 24 hour urine collection to see exactly how much protein you are leaking into the urine to determine what needs to be done next. You may need a kidney biopsy to figure this out. Hope this helps.
