hi, i've had a year of uti's and pain the infections keep coming back but the pain is there on a daily basis, the P.A. won'tlet me see a urologist because the lab doesn't give any results (even with clearly visible and abundant chunks floating in the sample). I have insurance so thats not the issue. One P.A. is a friend of mine and says that h wouldn't believe me except he knows me and knows I'm not a hypochondriac. I've had ultra sound and ct. Those only showed some kind of abnormal growth, some sort of double bladder or extra bladder. The chunks in my urine are usually whitish but sometimes they're reddish. Any ideas? gurgling, I've been treated for direticultis, extremely pain (like being kicked in crotch half a dozen times a day. Oh yead I also shoot gas out like farting but out of my penis

Please be patient for a response as I may be in the OR or driving, but will get back to you ASAP.You need to find another urologist because you definitely need to be evaluated by one. The chunks you have are likely related to infection and the air you have coming out of your penis is absolutely abnormal. This is a sign that you have an abnormal connection to your colon called a colovesical fistula, causing the entry of air into the bladder as well as the infection. This fistula can form from the diverticulitis you had. You need a special CT scan CT cystogram, a cystoscopy and colonoscopy plus barium enema to find out where the connection is and you'll need surgery to repair it. This needs to be done by a urologist working together with a general surgeon. As you can see, you need a much larger evaluation than you have had. Hope this helps.
