Customer Question

My husband urine test results showed mucus "present" yet his Dr. made no noted comment. I read that mucus is not normal in urine. My husband has been having mild back aches. He also had prostrate cancer and surgery 2 yrs ago. His PSA test is 0.10. Is this mucus something his Dr. may have overlooked? Can this be a sign of something serious? All his other lab blood and were in normal ranges, other than blood sugar rising near borderline and he needs to loose 5-7 #. The mucus thing has me concerned.

Don't be worried at all about this, especially as it relates to his cancer. The only reason to worry about this is if he is having burning or pain with urination. This may be a sign of infection and he would need a short course of antibiotics.

There is no need to worry about the mucus. I would just follow this and keep an eye on it. There is no need to do anything further at this point.
