Are you asking if you are liable?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I'm asking if this company can put my wife on a bad debt list when she has not commited any offence
Expert:  Jo C. replied 7 months ago.
Yes if they secure a chance against her and she doesn't pay within 28 days that will be recorded on her credit rating. The credit reference agencies have nothing to do with the commission of offences. They are about money management.

On the face of it though she does seem to be liable. If she didn't name the driver within 28 days of notification then she is liable as the registered keeper under the protection of freedoms act 2012.

Whether they will sue is another matter of course. Can I clarify anything for you? Jo
