I have been summoned to attend court for doing 79 in a 50 temporay zone on the m54 what can i expect the fine and points and can i lose my licence

Thank you for your question and welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will try to help with this.

Do you have any other points please?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

If you were doing 79 mph in a 50 mph zone then you are facing either 6 points or a short ban of between 7-56 days.

You are at the bottom of the sentencing bracket and you have hitherto a clean licence so I would expect 6 points rather than an immediate ban.

There will also be a fine of 75-125% of your weekly income, costs of £85 plus the victim surcharge of £30 or thereabouts.

Can I help further?
