Hi.

A tax code of 547L means that you are entitled to £5,470 of tax free income. A tax code of £541L means that you are entitled to £5,410 of tax free income. The difference is £60.

The change could be due to an increase in an employment benefit such as private medical scheme or company car or it could be due to another deduction. Call the tax office on the number here and they will tell you what the difference is caused by and, if it is wrong, it will be amended while you are on the phone.

I hope this helps but let me know if you have any further questions.
