Dear Ahamed,

Hello and welcome. Thank you for providing an opportunity to assist you. Let me try and throw a very clear light on your question.

If your stay in Malaysia is more than 182 days, in a calender year, the tax rate for you would be in range from 0 to 26% as you would be a resident for that year. The slabs from 0 to 26% are explained in the following link.

Now, if your sat in Malaysia is less than 182 days, your status for that year would be of a Non-Resident and you will pay a flat tax of 26% irrespective of your income.

Kindly refer the following two resources for more in formation.

I am sure this would help. You may please leave a positive rating if this helps, alternatively revert back with a reply if you need further assistance.

Warm Regards
