Is my child support received taxable for income tax? My son's father has already been taxed on it.
Optional Information: System of Law: England-and-Wales Already Tried: HMRC
Hi
Thanks for your question
No it is a tax free income and does not attract tax nor have to be declared to HMRC.
Your sons father would not have paid tax on it, it just is paid from income that may already have been liable to tax (such as salary or investment income)
Thanks
Sam
