If my husband accepts a salary of 60,000 in the UK, how much

This answer was rated:

If my husband accepts a salary of £60,000 in the UK, how much will his take-home be after tax etc each month.

Thanks for your question and requesting me

As a general rule his position will be as follows

Gross monthly pay £5000

Tax Free £623 (£7475/12)

Taxable £4377

£3034 liable at 20% = £606.80

£1343 liable to 40% = £537.20

Total tax due £1144

Class 1 National Insurance £381.75

So from £5000 gross less tax £1144 less NI £381.74 - your husband will take home £3474.26 each month
