I have allowed my landlord and their contractor into my home

Customer Question

I have allowed my landlord and their contractor into my home to replace the bathroom and re-tile. It appears the landlord has been snooping around and has noticed that the electricity meter and gas meter has been changed by the supplier, this was due to me getting into arrears when my partner left. They are insisting it is changed back but the suppliers will not do this while in debt. The worrying thing is the snooping as they would have no need to check my meters - what can I do?

Does the lease require a specific electricity and gas company?
