Customer Question

Hi Clare - I have been made redundant, which means I am unable to pay CSA. I was given around 6 months of salary from my existing employer, but I am wondering as I am not earning, do I stop my CSA payments until I return to work.

Hi
Thank you for your question
My name is Clare
I shall do my best to help you but I need some further information first
How much of the payment is Pay In Lieu of Notice (PILON)

£9400

You need to contact the CSA as soon as possible.

You will be liable to pay maintenance for the period covered by the PILON - but the rest of the funds are safe - but the sooner the CSA are notified and a reassessment made the better

I hope that this is of assistance - please ask if you need further details

There is a small issue I forgot to add. The money I was paid has now been used to pay my ex-wife's legal costs. I guess I just tell CSA, and they will guide me - correct?

Hi

How many months does the PILON relate to and how much is your monthly CSA payment?
