Customer Question

Hi, I've got an Elson Coral E thermal store heater which was serviced recently and is fine. Problem is the timer packed up (Horstmann) and I replaced it with a brand new one but it's not heating up the water. The timer's working fine - all programmes are switching on and off as they should but it's not heating the water. The engineer who originally diagnosed the problem by-passed the timer so that that the boiler ran off the mains and was always hot, but when I installed the new timer it's not heating up. Any suggestions?
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: I've not had hot water for a week now
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If I can
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: don't think so

Can you give the make and model of the timer please.
Do you have two heaters on your model and do any of them work?
Have you also checked that you are getting power
to the heater when you switch it on.
If you are has the thermostat limit switch popped out, this is a tiny little button on the
thermostat under the element lid
