Do you get any fling lights when the heating cuts off?

How long does it stay on for on heating?

Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 11 months ago.

Your boiler has a twin pass heat exchanger which means the hot water and the heating circulate through 2 separate sets of pipes. Your boiler does not have a divertor valve.

The pump only fires for heating, you need to check this spinning as it sounds like it is stuck.

Stays lit for 30 secs but I've noticed it will keep lighting and going out ever so often. The radiators do get warm . Also if we run hot water a while then turn off it will stay on for ch. is there anyway to unstuck pump (light tap)

Inside the front cover is the pump.

On the front of the pump there is a screw in the centre, take this out (put a tub under to catch any water) and give the insides a twist with a mall flat blade screwdriver.

Let me know if this cures it - you can also see the insides of the pump spinning when you leave the screw out.

I couldn't turn it as there was nothing to grip on. But the heating was on still when I got home and after draining the water from inside pump and topping up its still running

Do you have full heating but just slow to heat up as the boiler keeps turning off?

Perhaps it is circulating slowly or the water quality is creating a problem?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
It's failing to stay lit on heating now

Is it still ok on hot water?

It sounds like the pump has failed and the boiler is just reaching temperature now.

Are the pipes under the boiler really hot?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No

Ok, you need to check the pump by removing the front screw.

If you cannot do this then you will need to get someone to check this for you.
