Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

Ok, great - get one of the timer too please

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Did you get the pictures ?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

Does the timer control the heating and hot water?

Do you have a silver box on the pipework near the cylinder?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't have a clue how this timer works
I just moved in
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No silver box
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

It's a combination boiler then.

The hot water will not be on a timer.

As long as the front of the boiler is set to hot water and heating, the system pressure is above 1.5 bar and the timer is say 'go' then it should work.

Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

What happens when you push the slider on the side of the timer to 'I'

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Which one is the timer? Where does it say go?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

The timer is the mechanical clock, can you send a picture of the right hand side?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Is this what you're talking about ?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

That's good, it is set to 'on'

Is the combi set to HW and heating on the front?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What's a combi
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

A combination boiler

Can you send me a picture of the controls on the front of the boiler?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
This?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

When you press the smmer button, does the light come on?

Is there a make and model on the boiler - I do not recognise it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There you go
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

Ok, Keston c36.

Let me recap;

You have hot water and no heating.

It is a combi boiler and you have a timer on the wall.

You need someone to check the wiring and the sytem poressure to get your boiler to work.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Who can I call to check this for me?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

You will need a local heating engineer, try calling 3 and see who gives the best price
