Can you see a silver flexible pipe attached to the copper pipework?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yep, I've re pressurised the system to 2.5bar and the light is stil l on
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

It sounds like the connection to the pressure switch is blocked, best to drain down strip it out and clean it (unless it is actually faulty)

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It was slight under pressure before I re pressurised it; do i need to reset it somehow? How do I strip it down to clean it?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

There should be a reset position on the main control knob, turn to that position and trun back to heating

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'll try that; if not, how do I strip it?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

I will dig out the manual - do you have the GC no. or age of the appliance?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, unfortunately not - the boiler cover has 2001 on it but the boiler ceased manufacture in 1998

This is the manual;

ok, its that old!

No it does not have one - there is an overheat thermostat on yours and it is underneath the panel (on the under side)

Try the low pressure switch first.
