We need to find out if it is a problem with the receiver or the boiler.

Does the receiver click when you turn on the heating?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No it doesn't make a noise, but the lights are on top one is green, bottom is orange (not sure if that means there is communication fault as can't remember what the colours were)

Do you want to link out the stat and see if the boiler fires?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How do I do that?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It must fire to give hot water?
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.

Take the cover off the receiver.

You will see a L,N and Earth that powers the stat.

There will be another pair of wires too - can you see these?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm going to leave it and get someone out as I can't get the cover off and not sure what I am doing. Thank you for trying to help me
