I have a Potterton Profile 50e which stopped working this

Customer Question

Hi I have a Potterton Profile 50e which stopped working this morning.
On the fault finding chart it says
“Check there are 240 volts between L & N, and between SwL and N.”
Which I did and there are 240 volts between L & N, and but nothing between SwL and N
There is nothing in the chart for this!
Just to see what happened I put a wire between L and SwL and the boiler kicked off and worked.
But I don't know where to go from here, any suggestions?

Hi its not the boiler, your fault is in the controls. I would guess at a motorised valve but if you can let us know what controls you have we can probably advise you better.

Hi Brian,
It's an LP522 controller, hot water with thermostat, central heating without thermostat, so controller 2 motorised valves and a thermostat.

Hi Brian - I fixed the problem this morning before you came back to me. I really don't think you added very much to be honest. But thanks for the input anyway.

Glad you have sorted it.
