Customer Question

Hi Mike.
Have a Vokera 12e boiler. Recent problems on starting was a sort of clicking/ crackling sound, as though a relay was sticking/ jamming. Although not a boiler expert, I had a look at it, followed fault finding flowchart as best I could, fiddled about & got it firing up.This continued for a while, though the boiler would eventually fire up.
Inevitably it ceased to fire up at all but was left over the recent warmer months. Have come to check it again, found the 2a internal fuse blown and replaced it. However it keeps blowing the fuse when calling for it to fire up. Think it may need a new circuit board, any ideas ? - Mick

There are only a couple of things that can blow the fuse by creating a short.

One is a trapped wire, one will be the fan and other will be the pump if you have the system model.

Hi Andrew,
Is that a trapped wire for the pump or fan,/ or a trapped wire somewhere or pump problem or fan problem?

It could a trapped wire anywhere to create a short, or a pump/fan fault
