I have had the boiler about 9 years. This fault has not occurred before. I checked all setting and they are correct. David Quy
there is a faulty diverter valve. there is a diaphragm in the diverter that is worn with age and needs replacing. get the model number off the diverter and you can pick it up at about any plumbing supply. if you can't find the model no worries. it is pretty generic. the model number is XXXXX insurance you will get the right one. in rare cases the diverter valve itself is faulty and needs replacing. that can be plan B. no need for plan C.
Experience: I have been doing plumbing work for 20 years. Both servicing and new construction installation on high end homes.
