This answer was rated:

We have a glow worm betacom 30c and although the central heating is working fine we are not getting any hot water out of the boiler. There are no flashing warning lights at the moment when the heating is on. we occasionally get hot water for 2 minutes when the CH is on. when it is not one the hot water is stone cold. any help please
Hi my name is XXXXX XXXXX lets see if we can get you sorted in the shortest possible time. Can you turn the boiler off and put your head against the case and see if you hear it click when the tap is opened?

ok we turned it off and then waited a couple of minutes before turning the hot tap on. it did make a click and you could hear it come on and process the water. It is just not getting hot or staying hot for long
Ok, if it comes on every time but only stays on for a couple of minutes or so then can you hold on to your heating pipes and see if they get hot instead. This will determine whether it is the plate heat exchanger (needs descaling) or your divertor valve is sticking.

with the boiler set to CH and Water and on the timer setting. When the hot water tap was turned onI did not hear the boiler click and could feel the water going through the water pipes but did not get hot. The central heating pipes did seem to get hotter instead. Also for more info the first 4 red lights are on on the control panel.

It has been like this since friday night but we manged to get by with a luke warm shower yesterday. it just does not get hot enough now for that.

Your boiler has a motor actuated divertor valve. It is not working correctly, but without stripping it down, then I do not know whether it is the motor or the valve.
