Hi, I have an Ariston Micro Genus II Type C 28Kw Combi Boiler which has shut down & will not reset with the button. When i tried switching the power supply off then back on, initially code d65 appears then changes to code A97. thanks.
Optional Information: Make : Ariston Model : Micro Genus II 28kw Already Tried: I have checked the system water pressure, ok. removed the panels, checked the fan spins freely, checked for any split or disconnected air hoses, accessed the PCB & checked the 2 off glass fuses.scratched my head!!
Hi I am Rick, UK Plumber, and I specialize on Boiler problems, if this is the HE gas council number 47 116 38 then A97 is a problem with the electronic monitoring so could be a sensor, bad connections/wires or PCB, Rick
Hi, i was hoping you could be more specific than that. Does it need a laptop plugged in with appropriate software to diagnose, or am i supposed to buy a load of parts in the hope i can cure the fault?
Sorry ther is no easy answer, first check the sensors with a multimeter, they should read in the low K ohms range, if open circuit or shorted then change it, if all OK and the connections are good, then change the board, Rick
