Nissan/Datsun Qashqai: I cannot get into my 07 plate qashqai.I cannot get into my 07 plate qashqai. The button when pressed on all doors does not respond, the fob when pressed does not get any response and when I put the key in the drivers door, the car still doesn't unlock. I've tried both the normal key and spare. Thanks

The key can be turned a half turn left and right. Absolutely nothing happens. No noise or movement inside the door.
Hello again.. thank you for your reply / info -In that case, there must be something wrong with the emergency key lock - and this is usually down to partially seizing due to a lack of use - its a common issue Im afraid.The best thing to do is to spray with the directional tube on a tin of wd40 - into the lock and give it 30 mins - respray, and try again. Dont be afraid to give it to some force - though obviously dont overdo it. Try lifting and putting the handle back / too as you do, sometimes that helps.That should work for you - IF it doesn't - the only way forward is to gain access to the engine bay by removing the bottom cover and using a jump pack or donor battery and leads - attaching the red pos to the back large terminal on the starter motor ( it wont turn the engine )...and the black neg lead to a good clean metal earth point on the engine... and then try the fobs.This will work if you have a flat car battery - If you have a fault with the fobs - then you really will need to call on a Nissan dealer.If it is a flat battery as above, that then will open the locking..and then you can deal then with the flat battery situation as needed...
