To make a negligence claim against my solicitor, does it have to be made within a year of our last dealings with solicitor or do I have longer to Persue the matter

Hi, Thank you for your question and welcome. My name is ***** ***** I will assist you. The general rule is under the Limitation Act 1980 it is 6 years from when the cause of action arose. If you did not know the cause of action had arisen it is three years from when you became aware of the claim. Are you using new solicitors to bring the claim?
