The Cabinet Office have written to me acknowledging a letter

Customer Question

The Cabinet Office have written to me acknowledging a letter that they had received from me recommending someone for an honour. I had not sent said letter so asked for a copy. The Cabinet Office have now sent me a copy of this letter which purports to come from me. Whereas the letter is from my address and uses my signature, it was not written by me. The letter makes strong representations about the honour/award nominee. Has a crime or civil offence been committed and if so what should I do?
