Hi the latest 3pts is for doing 61mph on a dual carriageway where the speed limit is 50mph, unfortunately i wasnt aware of this when i was caught.
For jomo1972 I have just recieved 3 pts for doing 61 on a dual carriageway that had a 50 limit.
OK. What are the dates of your other points? The date of the offence is the issue?
For jomo1972 I recieved 3 pts 22/4/2010. 3pts 24/11/2010 and 3pts 13/01/2012 my latest offence was 10/6/2012 the first 2 were cu80 and the next was sp30.
Ok. They are clearly qualifying then unfortunately. You have three options really. The first is to ask for the speed awareness course. Sometimes that is available although there is some prejudice towards HGV drivers but it would be worth asking for it if it isn't immediately offered. The second is to refuse the fixed penalty and wait and see if they summons you. They do sometimes forget. They only have six months to lay an information which isn't very long so there is always a chance if you use the periods of time that you have. The risk is that if they do remember then they will give you a higher fine but probably that isn't your main concern. The third is just simply to make an application to avoid disqualification on the basis that you will suffer exceptional hardship if disqualified. If this is your livelihood then you do have the basis of an application although you will have to convince them that you could not otherwise work in some other capacity.Probably you should be taking all three actions in order in the hope that at least one will work if not the other. Hope this helps. Please rate my answer OK SERVICE or above and then I will give you related information for free.
