I was a director of a ltd company which closed last year. there

I was a director of a ltd company which closed last year.
there was still an outstanding loan the company owed, but no personal guarantee.
this year I have recieved a demand for the owed money.
Am i liable for the loan amount?

If the loan is in the companies name and you gave no guarantee or indemnity then there is no contractual link to you and the loan and you should not be liable for it.
