How does the extradition process work? if you have been wrongly arrested in a foreign country and they have released you on bail to return at a later date and fail to show > what is the process should they try to extradite?

Well, if one has committed an offence in a country and one is not in that country anymore, the authority of that country may begin an extradition process to bring that person back into that country so that he may be prosecuted for that offence.
