Can my employer force me to change my existing shift pattern,

Can my employer force me to change my existing shift pattern, from 0600 Monday morning to 1800 Friday night. The shift pattern I am on at present is 3days, Mon, Tue, Wed. then the following week, Tues night, Wed night, Thur night. the following week, Mon night, Thursday day, Friday day. These are all 12 hour shifts> The shifts proposed are all 24/7. 5 shift rotating, rostered holidays, Bank holidays worked normally average hours per week, 32.5. the other 2 shift patterns are 5 shift working at 36 hours/week including a floating shift (double-up shift) subject to 7 days notice, plus we have to guarantee holiday and sick cover.
