I am Lithuanian married with Tunisian. I have UK residency

I am Lithuanian married with Tunisian. I have UK residency and husband has 5 year visa. We are expecting a baby. Is my new born eligible for the British passport?

Hi,

 

Thanks for your question.

 

The short answer is no your child is not entitled to a UK Passport. Your child would have become a UK Citizen if at the time of its birth at least one parent was a UK National. As you are a Lithuanian (EEA) and your partner is Turkish, the child would have either Lithuanian or Turkish or dual nationality, however, not UK Citizenship.
