hie. l would like to find out if l would be sucessful if l apply for a british citizen. l came to the uk in 2002 and was granted indefinate leave to remain as a refugee in 2003. l then had criminal convictions which are as follows:
date of conviction 21/08/2007, offence; Battery on 25/02/2007, disposal; conditional discharge 12months at a cost of £60
2. date of conviction 15/07/2008 offence; breach ofconditional discharge on 01/07/2008
ii) conviction: theft -shoplifting on 01/07/2008, fine £75, compensation £64, costs £60.

where do stand?

Unless your convictions are spent it is unlikely that discretion will be exercised in favour of granting citizenship.
