Resolved Question:

I am a New Zealand citizen with an ePassport. I have had a criminal conviction serving a sentence of 3 years 2 months. I was paroled after 2 years. I have now completed my parole.
If I arrive in UK with my passport, can I enter the country?

Thanks for your question.

The UK has a requirement that any person entering is of good character. If you have previously served a custodial sentence, you would be advised to obtain Entry Clearance before travelling to the UK to avoid the disappointment of being refused entry at the airport and being returned to New Zealand.
