Does the UK do a background check when you submit your tier

Customer Question

Does the UK do a background check when you submit your tier 2/work permit application that is sponsored by your employer? Or does your employer even if you have worked for them for a long time? Does past DUI disqualify you?

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

Yes the UKBA do carry out background checks.

If you have previous convictions, you should disclose these on the application form and to your employer. If you fail to do so, your application will be refused.

I hope this answers your question. If so, kindly click accept.
