Hi Brian
No crunching, just going to check if lights dim
The engine idle might also stumble when the switch is held
Check this AlsoKindest regards ***** *****

The noise is of a whirring failing electric motor and this has no affect at all on the dash lights. I think the glass has come off its runner in a way that is stopping motor raising it as it is somewhere within the door not between the felt/rubber that it should come up through
Thanks
Bill

No stumble in engine noise

have I lost connection to you
Hi Bill thanksIf you can hear a whirring noise then the fault lies with either with a snapped window regulator cable
Or more commonly a detached cog on the motor itself (Madrid plastic (blue cog from memory )
I have attached an image of a pasengers motor to give you an idea of the cog I mean
The door panel would need stripped down to confirm
If it is the motor its cheaper to buy a full regulator with motor than just the motor itself
If you need anymore help or advice on this issue bill please let me know and I will do my upmost to assist you
If you are satisfied with my answer /advice
