Customer Question

Gears not displayed on dashboard. I start in N but in N position there is no display and key will not turn.
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the brake switch?
Customer: Brake pipe has just been replaced.
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: Lx 2004. Reg pe
JA: Are you fixing your LX yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No. My mechanic has just replaced a brake pipe, said it won't start as battery low, but radio, windows all operate fine. He has taken the battery to charge, but I think it is a gear prob.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No.
