Customer Question

Hi there, I have a 2008 s max tdci which will crank over but won't generate a cranking signal! Pins 1and 3 on ckp 5 volts at multiplug ignition on. Pins 1 and 2 always have 9 volts even when not cranking, masking crank signal! Any ideas? Cheers.

Hi there good afternoon to you

Ok is there fault codes logged for the crank sensor ie:p0335

Has an osilliscope been used

What has caused this fault to happen ie has any previous work been carried out previous to this or has vehicle been damaged etc

Also were these voltage checks done with plug connected

Do you have the registration number to clarify the wiring

Kind regards ***** *****
