Billy :

Hello and Welcome! I'm Billy and i will assist you with your inquiry. Feel free to as

k if any further info is needed.

Billy :

Do you have the 2.4i (petrol) engine, or the 2.4 TDCi (diesel) engine?

Billy :

Are you experiencing any other symptoms, problems or irregularities?

Billy :

What was checked/replaced so far?

Billy :

And since you are getting the warning on dash, this means that fault codes are stored....do you have the fault codes?

Billy :

Any issues of water ingress, electrical issues etc...?

Customer : Hi billy. It is a 2.4tdci (diesel)engine. The van has been into ford around 11times now and has had new filters, new turbo, new alternator, new agr value, new injectors, new battery and two software updates as ford said these were all the issue's to do with it but none of these have solved the problem even though ford said this time it will the van is still the same.
Billy :

Hello,

Billy :

when at idle, do you have any timing chain noises?

Billy :

do you have the oil warning lamp flickering at times?

Customer : No, it's really weird the van n engine run fine but it struggles to turn over I have to repeatedly Turn the key until the lights go off n stop saying engine malfunction then it will start, but then I can be driving along n it will just cut out and restart very weird????
Billy :

ok....so it is an electrical issue.

Billy :

I would check as following:

Billy :

check the fuse/relay boxes for any water ingress....clean and tight contacts, good wiring.

Billy :

check the instrument cluster connectors, tight clean contacts, and good wires

Billy :

and get to the engine control module contacts and connectors.

Billy :

These would be the likely causes in my opinion (the fuse/relay box being most likely).

Billy :

So check these, and get back to me with your findings, or if further info is needed.
