Hello, I hope I can offer you some assistance.

Have you the chassis number of the car? So I can obtain the correct wiring details. If not is the engine a petrol or diesel? Which size engine is it?

Let me know and I'll reply as soon as I'm able to.

Thank you.

Hello again, thank you for your reply.

The reverse light circuit on the Smax isn't the same as a conventional revers light circuit that has a 12 volt feed to the reverse light switch and 12 volts to the reverse lights from the switch when you engage reverse.

The Smax has a body control module (BCM), this is connected to the reverse light switch on the gearbox, the other side of the switch is connected to earth so the BCM detects reverse when this wire is earthed. When it detects reverse it then sends 12 volts to the reverse lights. The BCM is also the fuse box in the passenger side of the car up behind the glove box. The reverse light circuit is protected by fuse 11 in this fuse box. The wire to the reverse light switch only has around 1 volt to it, the wire is blue and the earth side wire is black/green. The wires at the reverse lights are coloured green/brown on the passenger side and black on the drivers side.

I hope this is clear enough but if I can assist any further let me know and I'll reply to you as soon as I'm able to.

Best wishes,

Sean.
