Hi again, thank you for your reply / info - Im afraid that reg number doesn't come up as valid - however, the symptoms you describe, espeically as you have no fault lights etc at the time, would be indicative of a faulty crank sensor. This sensor is the main trigger for the fuel systems etc - when that plays up it will cause exactly the symptoms you describe - But there are several other things that can go wrong and cause such issues - I certainly wouldn't recommend just changing that sensor at this point without having plug in diag tests done. Fault codes should be checked for even if there are not fault lights on - and thats quick to do anyway - but if not fault codes are there, the equipment is then used to check fuel pressure , injectors and general overall engine management systems - this will find your fault that way for sure... Any other way would be guess work Im afraid - it may be educated guessing, but guessing nevertheless and that gets expensive. So in this case I have to recommend have a local garage plug in the diagnostic port and run the Live Data tests to trace the cause of this down.... then it can be sorted properly for you . Thats the best, XXXXX XXXXX and sure way with this engine system / fault now...
