Country: United KingdomMake: FordModel: fiestaYear: 1998 Already Tried: not tried anything as yet but it is brocken from the pivot hinge dont want to damage anything
Hello, I hope I can offer you some assistance.
Exactly which part do you want to replace on the car? Please let me have as much detail as possible.
Thank you.
the off side wing mirror has snapped off got a new replacement dont know if theres any fixing behind
Hello again, if the car has electric mirrors then you need to remove the interior door panel to disconnect the electrical connector for the mirror, if the mirrors are manual then you don't need to remove the trim.
This is for the manual mirror, first remove the mirror interior trim by removing the blanking plug and screw as shown below
then disconnect the adjuster by turning the adjuster and pulling to remove the rubber cover then the adjuster will push through the mirror trim as shown.
Once the trim is off remove any sound proofing you can then see the four fixings for the mirror, one screw for the trim and three bolts into the mirror as shown below.
The mirror will then come off the door.
If the mirror is electric as I said earlier the door trim needs to be removed to disconnect the electrics, otherwise it is very similar, the interior mirror trim unclips instead of been screwed on, once this is off you will see the mirror retaining screws the same as a manual mirror.
I hope this answers your question but let me know if I can assist further and I'll reply as soon as I can.
Best wishes,
Sean.
